How does Short Stay parking work?

Say goodbye to stressful planning and parking, and follow these 4 simple steps:
  1. Book in advance: Parking at Manchester Airport is pre-book only, so remember to book your space in advance.
  2. Park up: Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system will recognise your vehicle and open the barrier (if your car park has barrierless entry, just drive straight through). Find a space, park up, and lock your vehicle.
  3. Walk to your terminal: No need for a shuttle bus. We’ll make sure your Short Stay car park is close to your terminal, so you can walk to check-in.
  4. When you return: Find your vehicle right where you left it. The ANPR system will recognise your number plate and open the barrier again when you leave, so you can just drive away.

FAQs

What directions should I follow for T2 Multi Storey car parks?

When arriving at the airport, the T2 Multi Storey East is now signposted as P1, and T2 West Multi Storey as P3. The locations and convenience of these car parks remain the same, only the airport signage has changed. You’ll still enjoy the same smooth, secure parking, just a short walk from Terminal 2.

Why might a car park not be available despite booking well in advance?

While it’s always a good idea to plan ahead, you might find that Manchester Airport’s Multi Storey car parks are not available for your desired dates. This is because we typically open bookings for these car parks only 2-3 months in advance. This helps us manage demand and ensure that we can provide the best possible service to all our customers. We appreciate your understanding and recommend checking back closer to your travel dates for availability.

Additionally, please note that Multi Storey car parks have a maximum stay duration of 10 days. This may reduce further during peak periods of the year and can vary by car park.

What's the maximum stay for Multi Storey?

The maximum stay duration for our Multi Storey car parks at Manchester Airport is 10 days. This may reduce further during peak periods of the year and can vary by car park.

This limit helps us ensure that all customers have access to convenient parking options. If you need to park for longer than 10 days, we recommend exploring other parking options available at the airport.

Is the Short Stay car park suitable for Blue Badge holders?

Blue Badge holders can park in any of the Short Stay car parks at Manchester Airport.

You can find more information and detailed guides on our Blue Badge Parking page and the AccessAble website.
