At Manchester Airport, there’s a perfect Pick Up and Drop Off car park for every terminal and budget.

We’ve got Pick Up and Drop Off areas directly outside Departures at every terminal – ideal if you just want to touch down for long enough to unload luggage, or you want to be waiting when someone’s flight gets in.

There’s a free drop-off area, too – a bit further from the terminals, but a free shuttle bus operates 24/7, and journeys take just a few minutes.

Directions to the Drop Off car parks

Terminal 2

Postcode: M90 5PH

  • Exit the M56 at Junction 5 and keep left up the slip road, following the signs for Terminal 2.
  • At the first roundabout, at the top of the slip road, take the 2nd exit, signposted for Terminal 2.
  • To reach the upper forecourt drop-off, at the second roundabout (Flag Island), take the third exit signposted ‘T2 Drop Off’, then proceed up the ramp to the forecourt.
  • To reach the lower forecourt drop-off, at the second roundabout (Flag Island), take the second exit and follow signs for Drop Off to proceed to the forecourt.

The Terminal 2 upper forecourt is conveniently located next to the main check-in hall.

The lower forecourt is situated on the arrivals level and offers straightforward access to departures via lifts positioned right beside the drop-off zone. There is a vehicle height restriction of 2.0 metres (6 ft. 6 inches).

For the T2 Pick Up zone, when arriving at the airport, please follow the signs for P3.

Maximum stay is 15 minutes. Payments must be made online by midnight the following day. Please note: A £100 charge will be applied to those attempting to pick up passengers in the drop-off zone.

Visitors who overstay the 15 minute maximum stay at T2 Express Pick Up will incur a £60 overstay charge.

Need to stay longer than 15 mins?
You can turn up and park on the first or second floor of the car park. If you want to plan ahead, you can also pre-book your parking to park on the ground floor.

How can I pay for my visit to a Pick Up and Drop Off area?

You can pay online: pay.manchesterairport.co.uk

Or by phone: 0345 901 3318

Payments cannot be made using cash or cheque. Additionally, no payment for our drop-off and pick-up areas can be made upon exiting, as there are no payment barriers in these areas. If payment is not received by midnight the following day, a £100.00 Parking Charge Notice will be issued, which will be reduced to £60.00 if paid within 14 days.

How long will I have to pay for my visit to the Pick Up and Drop Off area?

Payment must be made by midnight the day after your visit to avoid a Parking Charge being sent to the registered vehicle holder.

How do I pre-register an account and set up an automatic payment to pre-pay?

You can set up an account and add a payment card, which will automatically take payment after each journey through one of the barrierless drop-up or pick-up areas. To do this, please visit: pay.manchesterairport.co.uk

What happens if I forget to pay?

If you do not pre-register or pay as a guest before midnight the next day, a Parking Charge will be sent to the registered vehicle holder.

Can I pay in advance for my visit to a drop-off or pick-up area?

No, payment can only be made after you have visited a drop-off or pick-up area at Manchester Airport. To avoid a parking charge, payment must be made by midnight the day after your visit. Alternatively, you can create an account and add a payment card to enable automatic payments for each of your journeys. You can create an account by visiting: pay.manchesterairport.co.uk

I am unable to pay for my visit to the drop-off or pick-up area online what do I do?

I have received a Parking Charge; how do I appeal this?

Non-payment will result in a £100 Parking Charge, reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days. If you wish to appeal a Parking Charge Notice you have received, please visit the APCOA website.

Are Blue Badge holders exempt from charges in the Drop Off or Pick Up areas?

Passengers who hold a valid blue badge will be able to access drop-off areas free of charge please remember this is for drop-off only. To use this service, the travelling passenger must produce their blue badge to the traffic marshals when entering the forecourt area.

Why is payment not showing on my account for my visit?
