Take control of your airport experience by pre-booking a time to head through Security. Be among the first to try our new TimeSlot passes. Simply choose one of the available times that work best for you and your flight departure. To keep our security lanes flowing smoothly, each TimeSlot only has a limited number of places, allowing you to breeze through security and head straight to the departure lounge before your flight.

Open daily in Terminal 3 between 04:00 - 07:30 and 10:30 - 15:30.
TimeSlot gives you more control of your airport experience. If you’re flying from Terminal 3, you can pre-book a time to enter the security area which will allow you to breeze through the queues so you can get to the departure lounge quicker.
Bookings are available for flights operating out of Manchester (MAN) Terminal 3. The online booking service recommends available times based on your flight details and the number of people in your party.
If no suitable times are available for your flight, please go through Security using the standard lanes or book a FastTrack pass. Please check your airline's advice regarding when you’ll need to arrive at the airport.

The service is ideal for business or solo travellers, couples and anyone travelling with carry-on baggage. You can book up to a maximum of six people (both adults and children) in one booking by selecting the party size.

Time slots are available to all passengers departing from Manchester Airport's Terminal 3 in groups up to a maximum of six people. However, they are not suitable for passengers requiring assisted travel or those travelling with pushchairs or car seats, as you will be directed to the Assistance Lane for security and do not need to book a TimeSlot.
Security FastTrack is available for Terminals 1, 2 and 3 and prices start from £5.50 per person. It offers access to the dedicated express lane with the flexibility to turn up any time up to three hours before your scheduled departure time. Security FastTrack is available from 03:00 hrs to 23:00 hrs and you can book up to a year ahead.
TimeSlot is available at Terminal 3. This service is free (although charges may apply during peak times) and can be booked up to seven days ahead. Time slots are scheduled around your flight departure time and are subject to availability. Your booking time is fixed allowing you to bypass the standard queue for a smoother airport experience. Your QR code will be scanned to grant you access to the designated security lane during your 15-minute window). Time slots are available from 10:30 to 15:30.
Enter your date of departure and destination, then select the correct flight number from the available options. You will also need to specify the number of people in your party (up to a maximum of six) and provide an email address so we can send you confirmation of your booking.
Most TimeSlot bookings are free and subject to availability. However, some peak-time bookings may incur a small charge. Chargeable and free slots are displayed on our booking site. Valid payment methods include MasterCard, VISA and American Express.
Our online booking service will suggest the most suitable TimeSlot based on your flight details and the number of people in your party. Usually around two hours before your flight. Please follow the advice from your airline or the airport website recommending when you should arrive at the airport.
The number of time slots available depends on operating hours, how busy the designated security lanes are, and existing bookings, so places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If no slots are available, please use our Security FastTrack service or join the standard security lanes.
We will send you a confirmation email that will include a link to your tickets in the form of a QR code. Click ‘View Tickets’ to access the code for each passenger in your group. Print out your QR codes and bring them with you, or have a screen shot available on your mobile device for inspection at the airport. If you don't receive our emails, please check your spam folder.
If you’ve completed your booking but haven’t received an email with your booking reference and a link to your QR code shortly after, please check your spam folder, as the confirmation email may have ended up there. If you still haven't received your booking confirmation, please call 0808 168 6222 or contact us using this link.
You can book a TimeSlot from seven days before your departure date and up to 75 minutes prior to your scheduled flight departure time.
No. If you are travelling in business class or have an airline priority pass, you do not need to book a TimeSlot. Your airline or booking provider will have given you instructions regarding priority access to Security.
After dropping off your baggage at check-in, (or if you have checked in online and do not need to put baggage in the hold) please proceed to Terminal 3 Departures (Security) and follow the signs for TimeSlot/FastTrack/Assistance Lane. You will not be allowed to enter our security area earlier than three hours before your scheduled departure time.
No, your TimeSlot booking is only valid for Security.
Check-in: Please allow sufficient time for Check-in, Baggage Drop-off, and walking to the Security check area before your TimeSlot. Check with your airline for more information.
Passport Control: The standard process applies for Border Control.
You’ll need to present your TimeSlot QR code to the security ambassador for scanning. This can be a printed copy of the QR code or a screenshot saved on your phone. You will also need your boarding pass, as usual, to enter the security area.
Please remember that you are ultimately responsible for being on time. Your TimeSlot covers a specific time to enter security, but we allow a grace period of up to 15-minutes either side of your booking time. If you arrive too early or too late, you may be asked to wait or directed to the standard security queues.

To change a booking, you’ll need to cancel your existing booking and make a new one (subject to availability). Please note that you won’t be able to change your booking less than 75 minutes before your flight. If you are running late and wish to change your booking, we can’t guarantee that there will be slots available. If your flight has been cancelled, you can book your TimeSlot once you have the details of your new flight, subject to availability. To view our terms and conditions, click on the ‘Manage Booking’ link in your confirmation email.
If you have purchased a TimeSlot and we need to cancel the service due to exceptional circumstances, we will issue a full refund.
