About Bermago

Sitting to the east of Italy’s well-loved Milan and Lake Como, you’ll find the charming walled town of Bermago located in the Lombardy region. A renowned area of art, culture and nature, the town is set in two tiers with dramatic contrast, waiting to be explored.

The upper tier Città Alta is enclosed by Venetian Walls, now recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is formed with cobbled streets and narrow alleys - look up, and you’ll see overhung leafy balconies. You’ll be spoilt for choice by the array of cafes and restaurants at Piazza Vecchia, the main square of this medieval town. Be sure to try casoncelli, a pasta dish loved by the locals.

Hop onto the two-carriage cable car and enjoy an easy descent down to the modern tier of Città Bassa whilst observing the panoramic views on offer. This dynamic area is full of wide boulevards, opera houses and impressive bars. Whichever area takes your fancy, there are plenty of accommodation options from luxury hotels to farmhouses and mountain huts.
