Terminal 3 is evolving

More space, more choice, and an improved experience for every passenger

What's changing in Terminal 3?

We’re building a better passenger experience with more space, new retail and dining options, and upgraded facilities in Terminal 3!

Following the completion of our £1.5bn Manchester Airport Transformation Programme (MAN-TP), we're continuing to invest in the future of our airport with the next phase of improvements in Terminal 3.

We recently announced plans to expand the terminal's departure lounge by more than a third, creating additional capacity to support future growth while delivering an even better experience for passengers.

The project will add around 2,000 square metres to the departure lounge, using existing space from the former T3 check-in area. This will deliver more space for passengers, increased natural light, and opportunities for new retail and food and beverage offerings. These will be announced in 2027.
This builds on recent improvements to Terminal 3, which now serves Ryanair passengers exclusively. This includes the new Sporting Chance bar, alongside the upcoming launch of Italian casual-dining restaurant Terracotta.

Works are due to start in 2027, with a phased opening from summer 2028.  Keep an eye on our social media channels for more Terminal 3 updates.
