Leaving your company

If you leave your job, or your employment ends at a MAG airport (Manchester, Stansted or East Midlands), there are various things you must do to follow our regulations.

Key things to remember

Return your ID card immediately

Your full airport ID card remains the property of the airport and isn't yours to keep. You need to return your pass to your employer as soon as your employment ends.

Make sure your pass is cancelled

Your employer will:
  • Cancel your pass
  • Remove your access to restricted areas

Once your employment has ended, you shouldn't keep or attempt to use your pass.

If you don't return your pass

You may:
  • Be charged for the unreturned pass
  • Be subject to security escalation, as this presents a risk to airport security

Why it's so important

Full airport ID cards allow access to security restricted areas. When you're no longer employed, you're no longer authorised to access these areas.
