How to get your company sponsored to join the MAG Security ID Scheme

To operate at a MAG airports, your company must become an Approved Sponsor Organisation before being able to apply for ID passes.

Your organisation must demonstrate a legitimate need, strong governance, and full compliance with security standards before it can sponsor ID pass applications.

Key Sponsor Organisation process steps

This will require two people. A main named contact from the existing MAG company to complete the Letter of Support, and a main named contact (ideally the person who is going to become the Nominated Officer) from the new company wanting to become an Approved Sponsor Organisation.

Step 1 - Letter of Support form submission

You'll need to get the existing authorised MAG airport organisation that is going to sponsor you to complete the Letter of Support form.

Within the form, they must upload a copy of the contract or formal instructions for the works being undertaken.

If you have any other questions, visit our FAQs page.

Step 2 - Sponsored company form submission

You'll need to complete our Sponsored Company registration form.

  • You will need to get your Accountant, Solicitor or Bank to provide a Letter of Reference, this letter will need to confirm your company is legitimate and of good standing, this must be attached and submitted at the same time you submit the Letter of Support form
  • You'll need to confirm acceptance of a credit check being run on your company at this stage

  • Your initial Authorised Signatory can then submit the full application via the application system

  • There is no clear reason provided that supports a business need for your company to have access to the airport

  • They will need to book an interview appointment
  • They will then receive an email confirming the date, time and what they need to do prior, during and after the interview
