What is Mid Stay?

When you compare car parking options at Manchester Airport, this is the most popular parking choice for trips of up to one week. Manchester Airport’s Mid Stay car parks are both easy to get to, great value for money, and just a short walk to the terminal.

Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) means there’s no need to sign in – just park up, keep hold of your keys, and head straight to check-in.

From November 2025, we have a new product offering for T2 customers, Mid Stay Multi Storey (formerly T1 Multi Storey), which is signposted as P12. This car park offers T2 customers a walkable multi storey option with access to T2 Departures via our covered Sky Bridge in 10–15 minutes. Please note that some heavier vehicles are restricted, so check your vehicle eligibility here.

T3 Mid Stay (formerly T1/3 Mid Stay) will continue to serve Ryanair customers, and is signposted as P15.

How does Mid Stay parking work?

Say goodbye to stressful planning and parking, and follow these 4 simple steps:
  1. Book in advance: The Mid Stay car parks at Manchester Airport are pre-book only, so remember to book your space ahead of time.
  2. Park up: On the day just drive up. Our ANPR system will recognise your vehicle’s number plate and open the barrier (no tickets required). Choose a space, park up, and lock your vehicle.
  3. Walk to your terminal: No shuttle bus is required. Mid Stay Multi Storey is just a 10-minute covered walk to Terminal 2 via the Skylink. If you’re flying with Ryanair, T3 Mid Stay is only a 5-10 minute walk to Terminal 3.
  4. When you return: Find your vehicle right where you left it. The barrier will recognise your number plate again when you leave, and you can just drive away.

Directions from the M56
  • Exit the M56 at Junction 5 and keep right, following signs for T3.
  • As you approach the first set of traffic lights, take the left-hand lane signposted for T3, Wilmslow, Wythenshawe and Gatley (A555). This takes you onto Ringway Road West.
  • At the second set of traffic lights, go straight on. You will pass a business park on your left.
  • At the third set of traffic lights turn right, signposted T3 and Car Rental Return.
  • Continue on this road for approximately 250 yards.
  • Take the first left on to Ringway road following the signs for T3.
  • At the first roundabout, turn right into Parade Road, signposted T3 Mid Stay, and continue straight. The car park entrance is the first right after the zebra crossing.

Please note: This car park is signposted as P15.

What is the minimum stay in the Mid Stay car parks?

The minimum stay for the T3 Mid Stay car park at Manchester Airport is 3 days.

Mid Stay Multi Storey has no minimum duration, ideal if you want to park for a shorter amount of time.

Please note: These stay durations are subject to change due to car park availability.

Are the Mid Stay car parks suitable for Blue Badge holders?

Blue Badge holders can park in any of Manchester Airport’s Mid Stay car parks.

Are motorcycles allowed in the Mid Stay car parks?

Yes – motorcyclists can book a space in our Mid Stay car parks by calling 02081 638001. Calls are free from both landlines and mobile phones.

What happens if I pick my car up late?

Parking outside of the days you have booked will incur an additional charge. Please see terms and conditions for more information. 

Can I turn up and park at Mid Stay?

Our Mid Stay car parks are only available if you pre-book. To guarantee a parking space and the best price, we strongly recommend you pre-book, especially during peak-periods.
