Characterised with baroque infused architecture and a nod towards modernised cosmopolitan culture
The key Slovenian city is, though difficult to pronounce, not at all difficult to fall in love with. Since its independence from Yugoslavia in 1991, Slovenia has embraced Europe to a greater extent than nearly any other new EU member, giving its capital an outward looking and cosmopolitan feel. Today, Ljubljana is a scenic little place, full of baroque architecture, castles and pretty bridges spanning its river. A place to come, explore, relax and ski.
