Airfield Safety Code

The airfield is a very busy and complex environment to work in and therefore it is essential that every airfield user understands his or her responsibilities for safety. To help ensure that everyone understands these responsibilities, we have produced the Airfield Safety Code. By following these simple rules, we can ensure that the airfield remains a safe environment for everyone to work in.

Airside Safety FOCUS is a publication from Airport Safety & Compliance. In it you can find lots of information on airport safety, as well as safety significant events that have happened at Manchester, or even at other airports worldwide.

Safe pushbacks at Manchester Airport training video

Manchester Airport's Airfield Operations Safety and Compliance team have produced a ‘Safe Aircraft Pushback at Manchester Airport’ DVD. Its purpose is to highlight Manchester Airport’s aircraft pushback requirements and to promote safety of personnel whilst undertaking aircraft pushbacks.

The video is designed to supplement training delivered by employers of organisations involved in aircraft pushbacks at Manchester Airport. This is the second such DVD produced by the team and supports their ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety at the Airport.

The team worked in close partnership with service partners EasyJet, Menzies and NATS to complete and deliver the high quality safety product.
