Over the years, Vejle has evolved from a quiet market town into a bustling urban hub, and its pedestrianised shopping area makes for pleasant wandering. While you're there, check out the city's iconic windmill. In July, don't miss Vorbasse Market - a vast spectacle featuring hundreds of stalls, travelling fairs, pet breeders and more.

Jazz & Blues Festival

Smukfest

August

Under an hour away from Billund in Skanderborg, this event prides itself on being 'Denmark's most beautiful festival'. First established in 1980, the festival is now held every year in the second week of August on a site bursting with natural beauty - think leafy emerald canopies and camping near lakes.
