About Jerez

A City of Intense Passion

While it would be very easy for visitors to mistake Jerez as a sleepy Spanish city, hidden beneath its placid landscape is a passionate volcano of traditions, cultures and dances that erupt with the slightest bit of provocation. The city is famous for its excellence in horse training and sherry making as well as being the birthplace of Flamenco – all of which is celebrated regularly by locals.

Jerez is full of surprises and hidden treasures to discover from its old quarter, which hides an ageing Moorish Fortress, to its culinary scene, featuring world-class dishes. If you want an alternative from the hustle and bustle of Madrid and Barcelona, Jerez is the perfect choice for you and your family.
