Want to win big? Vegas is home to a dazzling array of casinos offering a distinctive style and set of games. Even if you’re not a keen gambler, it’s definitely a sight to behold! Dubbed one of the best casinos, Caesars Palace boasts a 24-hour poker room with daily tournaments.
Others include the Silverton Casino Lodge - boasting a 117,000-gallon aquarium with mermaid shows, ARIA - the bustling hub of slot machines galore, and El Cortez - a historic venue offering an intimate and laid-back atmosphere.
Top tip: Venture beyond the strip to find a more local casino to get more bang for your buck!
4. Ride a gondola at The Venetian Hotel and Casino
Want to cruise along the Grand Canal in a gondola? You heard that right - you don’t just need to be in Venice to experience a taste of Italy. The Venetian Hotel has replicated this iconic canal indoors, as well as the singers, stilt walkers, and “living statues” you usually find on the streets of Venice.
It’s the perfect romantic alternative to splashing your cash in the casinos. And if you want to escape the hustle and bustle, the Venetian and Palazzo Theatres house world-class names in comedy and music.
5. Watch the star-studded Cirque du Soleil show
Expect jaw-dropping acrobatics, spellbinding stunts, and enchanting music that will raise your heart rate in an instant. You’ll find a few different shows to choose from that are performed at different casinos along the strip.
Las Vegas is known for going big, especially when it comes to entertainment, so make sure you watch at least one of the extravagant shows.
6. Zipline down Fremont Street
Lights, camera, action! Spend a whole day exploring Fremont Street, another star-studded location that you may recognise from the movies. From impromptu rock and roll street concerts to a unique shopping experience down Antique Alley.
Soar 114 feet in the air with the exhilarating SlotZilla zipline experience. Zoom down the street “superhero” style, taking in the memorable views of the downtown area - the most Vegas activity you’ll find by far!
7. Hike the Red Rock Canyon National Park
When you feel like it’s time to take a respite from the neon jungle, just a 30 minute drive west of the Strip is the natural beauty of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Many people choose to follow a hiking or biking trail to explore the area.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to some of the most breathtaking landscapes, including the well-known Horseshoe Bend. Stand high up on the cliffs and look in awe at the U-shaped turn in the Colorado River below.
Top tip: Set off during the cooler mornings to avoid the sweltering afternoon heat.
8. Visit worldwide famous landmarks - all in Vegas
Imagine seeing the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, and Trevi Fountain all in one day - well you can in Vegas! The city is full of replicas of the most famous and iconic landmarks from all around the world.
Visit the Luxor hotel, a replica of the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt - the black glass pyramid dominates the city’s skyline. Or take a look at the mighty Colosseum found at Caesars Palace where you can even watch boxing matches, concerts and more inside.
9. Discover the city's past at a museum
Behind the bright lights and bustling bars, you’ll find a city brimming with weird and wonderful museums that tell the stories of this magnificent city’s past. Learn about Vegas’ gangster era during the 20th century at the Mob Museum through the interactive exhibits and live events.
The Neon Museum is another must-visit attraction. Take a tour through the outdoor exhibition adorned with the city's most iconic neon signs from throughout the years. A photographer's delight, it’s best to visit at nighttime when everything is lit up.
Top tip: Uncover the Mob Museum's basement-level speakeasy to enjoy live jazz and blues.
10. Indulge at celebrity restaurants
An absolute haven for all the foodies out there, you can just about get every cuisine you can imagine at all different price points. From establishments run by celebrity chefs, to classic American diners, the food and beverage scene will definitely leave a mark on you.
