Sponsoring the Arts
As a major contributor to the national economy, we are committed to supporting the Arts nationally and regionally, encouraging the development of art and culture wherever our airports are based.
Our Arts and Sponsorship programme has created jobs and promoted art forms to those who would not normally have access to them, improving and expanding the cultural life of the nation.
Last year our sponsorship was worth £670,000, covering several major events as well as our ongoing sponsorship of world-class arts organisations.
We supported a huge variety of art forms including theatre, music, poetry, fine arts and photography.
Looking ahead, we are dedicated to continuing our key sponsorship role, passionately believing in the vital role the arts play in enriching and enlivening our communities.
In 2010/11 we are sponsoring the following organisations and events:
- Band on the Wall
- Bridgewater Hall
- Bury Met
