From immersing ourselves in the school curriculum to spreading a bit of seasonal cheer, Manchester Airport is working to play a full and proactive part in our community. Here’s just a flavour of what we’ve been up to recently…

High Fliers Academy

One thousand students from 25 local high schools visited our Runway Visitor Park this Summer.  Students experiences what it is like to work in the Airport through a range of interactive scenarios including Motor Transport, Environment, Commercial, Fire, Utilities, and Customer Services.

Team Challenges

Provide a fantastic opportunity for teams to bond together and make a practical difference to the local community.

Bring Your Child to Work Day

Each year 20 MAG colleagues get the chance to bring their Year 5 or 6 child to the Airport for one day. Hosted by the Community Team and Champion volunteers the children get an exclusive tour of the Airport as part of the national ‘Bring you child to work day’. They get a taste of different careers available.

World of Work Days

Delivered twice a year these events are designed to inspire young minds to consider their work options and to illustrate the skills and qualifications needed to achieve their goals. Airport Community Network companies support in the delivery of these popular events.

We want to be an approachable and responsible neighbour; each year we visit locations around the Airport to talk to our neighbours face to face in their community. We deal with a variety of issues such as flight path queries and Community Trust Fund applications. We are also at Knutsford library each Tuesday.
