If you are travelling into Terminal 1 or 2 and you are British, from the EEA or Switzerland or Liechtenstein and have a new biometric passport, instead of queuing to go through passport control you can use one of the 5 ePassport gates and make your journey through the airport easier - simply scan the back of your passport with the chipped section.
