Come here in the first week of July for the famous Tombees de la Nuit, when the whole Breton capital comes alive with art, music and dance, mostly in the town’s public spaces.

- Don’t forget that North East of Rennes is the must-visit Mont Saint Michel – the imposing granite island which is the third most visited attraction in all of France.
- To get your bearings, head for the Place de la Republique – it’s where most of the 50 public transport routes in town have their hub.
