Must see:
Get a round in for free at the brilliant Gravity Bar on the 7th floor of the Guinness Storehouse at the St James's Gate Brewery, birthplace of the black stuff. Go at dusk for an extra special 360 degree view of Dublin, all lit up for your pleasure.

Must eat at:
Fade Street’s L'Gueuleton restaurant has near cult status for its delicious food and sensible prices, a combination that the city’s critics have loved. If they won’t take a reservation, you’ll need to queue (or leave your name and pop over the road for a pint).

Must be there for:
It would be an insult to the great Saint himself NOT to go to Dublin and raise a glass on St Patrick’s Day in mid-March... which now evolved into a gargantuan, multi-day international festival.

Well-travelled tips:
Venture towards St. Stephen’s Green in town and seek out the famous Shelbourne Hotel, now beautifully restored to its original splendour.
Venture into the quandrangle at Trinity College and head straight for the old library, where you can view the beautifully illustrated (and historically significant) Book of Kells in all its glory.
