Terminal 1
Terminal 1, our busiest terminal, opened in 1962 by the Duke of Edinburgh. It has:
- 107 check-in desks
- 24 pier served aircraft stands
- 18 airbridges
- Self-service check-in
Terminal 2
Terminal 2 opened by the Duke of Edinburgh in 1993 at a cost of £256 million. It has:
- 80 check-in desks
- 15 pier served aircraft stands
- 14 airbridges
- 5 baggage reclaim belts handling approximately 54,000 pieces of luggage every day
- Self-service check-in
- Over 380,000 trees and shrubs are planted in the landscaped areas around T2
- The T2 baggage system is 4 kilometres in length and handles 20,065 bags on an average day
Terminal 3
Diana Princess of Wales opened Terminal A, which is now a part of Terminal 3, in 1989.
Terminal 3 has:
- 46 check-in desks
- 18 pier served aircraft stands
- 14 airbridges
- Self-service check-in
