Successful Projects 2008/2009
So far in 2008/2009, £143,927.00 has been issued to fifty-one projects. This has brought the total amount pledged to £2,257,826.17.
Some of the successful projects to be given out recently include:
LBC Community Project
Value of grant: £3000
Funds to help create a fair trade café area at the community centre in Levenshulme
Heald Green Theatre Company
Value of grant: £3000
Funds towards refurbishing all the seats at their centre.
St John Fisher School, Denton
Value of grant: £4314
Funds to enhance a community park area that can also be used by the school during term time. The enhancements include installing new benches and adventure play items.
Mobberley Pre-School
Value of grant: £900
Funds to purchase Information Technology equipment to be used by the children.
Sevenways Methodist Church
Value of grant: £2500
Funds towards refurbishing their community hall, which is used by various community groups in Sale.
Lostock Gralam Parish Council
Value of grant: £500
Funds to replace football posts at a play area in Lostock Green.
Cheshire Water Activities Committee
Value of grant: £4800
Funds to purchase sailing boats and equipment items for the group to use at Tatton Park.
