Iberia Regional Air Nostrum to fly non-stop between Manchester and Madrid
Iberia Regional Air Nostrum will soon link Manchester and Madrid once a day from 30th October 2011. From Madrid, passengers coming from Manchester will be offered easy connections to over 20 destinations on the Iberia network.
Passengers from the north of England will have easy access via the direct daily link to the Spanish capital with flights departing from Terminal 4 in Madrid-Barajas at 15:45 and arriving at 17:05 in Manchester’s Terminal 3. The return flight will leave Manchester at 17:35 and land at 20:55 at the Spanish airport.
Andrew Harrison, Managing Director of Manchester Airport, said: “Having Iberia Regional Air Nostrum at Manchester provides another route into the Spanish capital and that's significant for the airport and our passengers. This daily service will provide business and leisure passengers with not only a non-stop service to Madrid but greater access to the whole Iberia network, giving them more flexibility and choice.”
Flights will be operated with a 100-seat CRJ-1000, its most modern jet aircraft, equipped with Air Nostrum's Business Class. The flight is likely to be of interest to holiday travellers and a growing amount of business traffic between the two cities.
In Madrid passengers coming from Manchester can make easy connections to a further 20 destinations of Iberia’s network such as Alicante, Malaga and Valencia in Spain, Lisbon in Portugal, Tel Aviv in Israel, Johannesburg in South Africa and Luanda in Angola, as well as to Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, Lima and Montevideo in South America.
Iberia’s Business Class passengers can also use special check-in facilities and VIP lounges in Madrid. They can also enjoy a greater luggage allowance, preferential luggage delivery, an exquisite in-flight service with the best Spanish regional wines and other products as well as free magazines and newspapers.
