Flight Information by Bluetooth
Manchester Airport has launched CoolBlue at Terminal 1 Departures - the UK’s first free flight information service to your mobile phone.
To download the CoolBlue application, simply enable Bluetooth on your phone.
Fancy getting free flight updates directly to your phone? Want the latest shopping offers in the palm of your hand? Want to be updated with exclusive rates for car parking? CoolBlue has it all.
Flight info on the go
If you are travelling through Terminal 1 Departures, simply enable Bluetooth on your phone to download CoolBlue. Once CoolBlue has been downloaded, you’ll be able to scroll through a list of destinations to find your flight. Simply select your flight from the list and send a free SMS message to our Flight Information Service. We’ll text you straight back with the current status of your flight.
Discounts and deals direct to your phone
CoolBlue also enables you to take advantage of shopping deals. If you’ve enabled Bluetooth on your phone, you’ll get extra discounts – depending where you are in the terminal building.

Your free SMS can be sent up to 12 hours before and 2 hours after your flight’s departure/arrival time.
You’ll receive up to 5 messages for arriving flights and up to 4 for departing flights, each providing key information.
You may receive fewer than this number of messages. If, for example, you subscribe to receive information after your flight has landed, you will receive an initial landing confirmation message and a further message stating that bags are in the baggage hall.
UK networks supported by Manchester Airport's SMS service are Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone and contract O2 networks.
This CoolBlue service is currently available in Terminal 1 Departures and will be rolled-out to all three terminals soon.
