If you're travelling to a country within the European Union (EU), once you have passed through security, you can buy items at the tax free equivalent price, once you've passed through security control, which means that prices are lower* than those on the high street.

On all products which are subject to VAT. This excludes liquor, tobacco and items that do not attract VAT, such as books. The prices of certain items in airside branches of Boots and WHSmith are equivalent to high street prices.
