Education
The Education Centre is situated at the Aviation Viewing Park and is based in the forward section of a retired Monarch Airlines DC10 airliner. This forward section has been converted into a state of the art education centre or ‘aviation classroom’ complete with seating, flight deck and audio-visual kit. With a genuine ‘on-board’ feel, it is a popular educational resource for school parties from reception children to students studying for GCSE and A level exams. Visits can also be arranged for student groups to the airport terminals.
We have fully trained guides to guide you through the workings of the airport and will endeavor to tailor your visit to suit whatever requirements you may have.
The Education Centre contains a wealth of information in the form of presentations, photographs, models of aircraft and artifacts from our archives.
