Each company has its own policies and procedures regarding work experience placements. There is no one single office that deals with work experience, so enquiries should be sent directly to the companies you're interested in working with.
Manchester Airport has a very limited number of work placements each year (these tend to be office based). These placements are allocated to local schools, and are accessed through the careers teachers in those schools.
The structured two-year programme provides on-the-job learning in a variety of commercial and operational roles, rotating through a series of assignments with different parts of the business. Applicants should have graduated in any subject within the last two years with a first or second-class degree and have personal qualities of energy, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. In particular, we want graduates with well-developed communication skills, who can think on their feet, and show leadership potential.
Opportunities are limited and are very much driven by the needs of the business, we tend to recruit between 3 and 7 people and the programme is not offered every year. When available the scheme is usually advertised using web-based media to Universities in the Northwest of England and in close proximity to other the other Airports within the Group
