Béziers is a town in Languedoc in the south-east of France. It is perfectly situated for excursions into the Haut Languedoc, a rugged and untamed mountainous region of picturesque stone villages and cascading mountain streams. Best know for its wine and bullfighting.

If you are lucky enough to visit in August then don’t miss the festival, based on Spain’s Corrida, it kicks off in the middle of August (usually around the 15th) and lasts for four days.
