Must see:
A trip up the city’s concrete-built TV Tower, the Fernsehturm, is like stepping back in time and fast-forwarding to the future all at once. You can get to the top for just €5, a small price to pay for a commanding view of the whole area.
Must eat at:
A heart Stuttgart breakfast can be had at the Restaurant Cafe Markthalle, which is right next to the local produce market, so it’s handy for local fresh food shopping, too.

The world comes to Stuttgart in early September for the legendary annual Cannstatter Wassen. It’s said to be the world’s second largest funfair, which dominates affairs in the city with rides and beer-tents aplenty.
Well-travelled tips:
Unlike most German cities, cycling can be a challenge in Stuttgart, with hills and traffic to contend with... happily, though, most of the city centre is walkable inside half an hour.
If you’re exploring on foot, start your adventure on Konigstrasse, which is the main street – most of the centre of town is navigable from there.
