The Capitole de Toulouse plays host to the Hôtel de Ville, Théâtre du Capitole and 16th century Donjon du Capitole, while the Pont-Neuf is a 16th century bridge built to traverse the Garonne. The Toulouse Cathedral meanwhile cuts an interesting figure, found next to the Square du Cardinal Jules Geraud Saliège.
Toulouse is notable for its significance within the European aerospace industry, with a number of important headquarters found in town. The Cité de l’espace - City of Space - is located on the eastern fringes of the city, a theme park without rides dedicated to space travel. Airbus also offer tours of their facilities, with bookings requiring an English-speaking guide advisable in advance.
