Nursery Tours

Our tours are suitable for children over 3 years old and will last for 1.5 hours.
Approximately 45 minutes of the tour is held in the cabin of our DC10 aircraft. Here the children learn about crucial parts of aircraft e.g. the nose, tail, wings, engines, etc. We focus on some of the many jobs at the airport, and there will also be a visit to the flight deck, providing great photo opportunities.

The remaining 45 minutes of the tour takes place mainly outside. We will monitor the movements on the airfield and visit our own on-site aircraft. If time allows, a short classroom session will also be included, where we can carry out an interactive airport related activity.

Reception Tours

Your Tour will last for 2 hours. The tour will include a short comfort break, if you wish to bring snacks with you, this is an ideal time to consume these.

The remaining hour of the tour is mainly outside in the Visitor Park. We will look at the movements on the airfield and visit the static aircraft on site. If time allows, a short classroom session will also be included, where we can carry out an interactive airport related activity.

Please inform us if your group will include any wheelchair users or others with special needs. We have a separate resource available if the DC10 is not available or for children with limited mobility, which has been decorated with an aviation theme and we can run the indoor sessions there. This will not include the flight deck access.

The tours cost is £7.50 per child and for every 4 children that you bring, you will receive one adult place free. Additional adults are charged at £7.50 each.

There is no minimum number of children required to run this tour. The maximum number of children is 50, in any two hour session.

A minimum charge of £100 per tour applies. We accept children aged 3+.
